Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor may have fallen out from their romantic relationship two years back but many still pitch that the chemistry that the two of them shared is unparalleled and Bebo and her new found love-interest Saif Ali Khan come nowhere close to sharing the same sizzling chemistry that the former couple shared in real- life and on reel. Their steaming hot kiss in Jab we Met, which was used by the female protagonist ‘geet’ in the movie to ward off an unwanted groom prospect had fans rooting for more and cheering the couple across the country and beyond.

Shahid and Kareena’s love affair which had begun during the filming of Fida, where Kareena seduces Shahid to dupe him later, lasted for close to three years and was the talk of the media and the tinseltown alike. The two lovebirds were even caught lip-locking and tongue-licking on paparazzi camera, much to the embarrassment of the youngsters who were subjected to humiliation on national television on account of that multimedia broadcast. The popularity of the clip, however, went on to strengthen the bond that the two actors shared between themselves and also made their love affair an accepted reality in the public domain.

It came as a surprising shock, therefore, to everyone, when the couple announced their break-up during the filming of Director Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy ‘Jab we Met’. This was only their second film together, and it seemed like they had come a whole circle in the last three years. Shahid had been sailing through a rough patch during this period, with none of his films, a few with big banners too, raked in any significant moolah at the box office. Kareena, similarly had not given any significant delivery as a lead actress, though her performance in Karan Johar’s hugely successful Kabhi khushi Kabhi gham brought her a few film awards for supporting role. Shahid kapoor recently admitted in a show with a television production,

I was always aware of the fact that she was Raj kapoor’s grand daughter and Karishma kapoor’s sister. Also I had not tasted any significant success during my relationship with her. But successes and failures are a part of life.

He admitted that his relationship with kareena was a strong pillar of support during his rough days. Ironically, immediately after their break-up, the film Jab we met went on become a huge commercial success and is today regarded as one of the best romantic comedies ever made in Bollywood and has a long list of fans who have seen the movie countless times repeatedly. And Shahid Kapoor’s career embarked on an upward spiral with the tremendous success of Kaminey, where the actor plays a double role. The film was very well received by fans and critics alike and is today heralded as Generation next’s ‘Sholay’.

Kareena Kapoor however, moved out of her previous relationship and into another one. Her scandalous relationship with divorcee Saif Ali Khan has been giving media a lot of meat. Saif Ali Khan is at least 15 years older than Kareena and is often known to be excessively insecure and protective about his newly-found maiden. Fans swear, kareena kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are not exactly a match made in heaven and bet that they would not last in the relationship for long.

Where does flippant bebo finally end up is something we have to wait and watch. She, for sure, however, has laid much ground for future regret already.
