Has Ayesha Takia retired after her marriage to Farhan Azmi?

Ayesha Takia took the plunge into marital bliss when she tied the knot with long time boyfriend Farhan Azmi in the beginning of this year. Ayesha had never been too coy to talk about her long standing relationship with her beau and had always exuded a adorable sense of security about the affair during many of her candid interviews with the media.

Ayesha Takia finally tied the knot with the Mumbai restauranteur on March 1 this year in a prototype nikkah ceremony and wife and husband, graciously, let the media take their bytes. Industry gossip, however, had it that Ayesha would retire from filmdom work after she ties the knot with beau but this doesn't seem to be true. She will be seen in the soon-to-release film Wanted starring opposite Salman Khan.

I guess that's good news for all the Ayesha admirers out there. This girl, who started her career in the glam business at the tender age of 15 with the hit Falguni Pathak video 'meri choonar udd udd jaaye' and had appeared as a child artist in a yesteryear's Complan ad, adorably singing 'I'm a Complan Girl', made her debut with the science-fiction-cum-ghost story Tarzan. While her performance in Tarzan got her the filmfare award for the best debutante, it was her non-glamourous yet highly sensitive role in Nagesh Kukunoor's 'Dor', where she essayed the role of a widow in the narrow-minded Rajasthani society, which brought her critical acclaim and saw her receiving many critics award for the same. Most critics also applauded her feat of having signed up for a artsy role like that during the initial run of her career.

Even though most of her later flicks, mostly in the comic genre, have not been large grossers at the box office, this damsel still has a huge fan following, among the male clan who were heart broken when the dame decided to get married and among the female clan who would kill to know the secret behind her lovely locks. And while people could not get enough of one Takia sister, another, Natasha Takia, decides to woo them with her charms. Natasha Takia, Ayesha Takia- Azmi's younger sister, is all set to make her foray into bolly land soon. She is said to be on the hunt for suitable scripts that would appropriately launch her into the industry. While big sister sought artistic comfort and cared little about commercial success, little sister seems to be more prudent and practical and wishes to play the shots carefully.
